The third model in the Macintosh line, this is first that had expandable memory. With a maximum of 4Mb it is still usable today, and will run fairly modern applications. It was supported by Apple with regular upgrades of the Operating System until 1996 when they dropped support of the 68000 based machines. Depending on the age of the machine the Plus is either the older Beige, or the newer Platinum colour that is used to this day on Macintoshes.
